Description

This print is perfect for any astronomy lover. Featured are the constellations, Draco (The Dragon) and Ursa Minor (The Little Bear). Both constellations belong to the Ursa Major family of constellations, along with Coma Berenices, Boötes, Camelopardalis, Canes Venatici, CoronaBorealis, Leo Minor, Lynx, and Ursa Major.

The Draco constellation is associated with the myth about the 12 labors of Heracles. Draco represents Ladon, the dragon that guarded the golden apples in the gardens of the Hesperides. The golden apple tree was a wedding present to Hera when she married Zeus. As part of his 12 labors, Heracles was asked to steal some golden apples from the tree and killed Ladon with his poisoned arrows to do so. Saddened by the dragon's death, Hera placed his image in the sky among the constellations.
